NHS Continuing Healthcare
Please note that most people will not qualify for the below, as it is for patients with long-term complex health needs. To receive NHS Continuing Healthcare, you must be assessed by a team of healthcare professionals (a multidisciplinary team). If you are not sure what NHS Continuing Healthcare is, then it is unlikely that you are eligible. Please talk with your GP for further information on eligibility as the following only deals with people who are already receiving NHS Continuing Healthcare.
From 1st April 2014 everyone who is eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding has the right to apply for a Personal Health Budget. If you apply for a Personal Health Budget, together with your NHS team (such as a GP) you will develop a care plan. The plan sets out your personal health and well-being needs, the health outcomes you want to achieve, the amount of money in the budget and how you are going to spend it. You can use a personal health budget to pay for a wide range of items and services, including therapies, personal care and equipment. This can include Salt Therapy.
